Determining Your Exit Strategy: How to get out of Employment the Right Way

You may choose to leave your employer for a variety of reasons—for instance, you might be ready to retire, or you might feel that the Rat Race Cycle is getting the better of you, or you just want to pursue Business and enjoy Time Freedom as well as Financial Freedom.

If so, then congratulations!

Or perhaps your position failed to find progress. Maybe you are ready to rejoin the financial world as a businessman. Whatever the reason, you can’t afford to stumble through the Exit door. You need to make the most of your departure, whether that means turning in your resignation or finishing the rest of your contract.

Like everything in life, going broke can be done poorly or it can be well, with dignity and integrity. Managing insolvency well allows you to exit with your reputation intact. If you believe Employment is not for you, then you’re in a tough spot; don’t make it worse by acting rashly or making decisions that will haunt you in the years to come.

Make sure that before you resign, you are passively earning in your Business/Network. This will make the transition go a whole lot more smoothly.

Consider the following step-by-step guide to bowing out without breaking down.

1.) Look Ahead - Try to see the future even while you are looking at the present. Get your own understanding of how the industry is developed. Do not worry about being wrong!
2.) Find Capital - Always remember that in every business, there is always a Capital. If you are really willing to let your money work for you, you must always keep in mind that you will indeed be putting up money for this.
3.) Tell People and Demonstrate - You will be surprised how many people would like to work with you once you demonstrate or show them your progress. Some people have the mentality, "to see is to believe" which means once they see that you become successful in your chosen field and you invite them over so that they can be successful, too. You will be more believable.
4.) Take Action - Do the leg work. Walk the Talk. Don't just talk the talk. Your dreams won't work unless you do.
5.) Follow your Passion - If you don't see yourself working 80 hours a week for it. Then it's not your passion.
6.) Find Advisers - Make sure that the people you are asking advice from are Successful individuals in the Field you are trying to pursue. Not Failures or Start Outs.
7.) Block the Doubters - You will hear a lot o "NO's." Just keep going because YOU know best. Not them.
8.) Keep a Positive Mindset and Belief in Yourself - You control your thoughts. What you believe is yours to decide. If you won't believe in yourself, why else would anyone else believe in You?
